So, in attempting to write a blog post about vegan choices on Hartford Restaurant Week menus, I discovered that there aren’t any (even New Haven had a few!). Not a one.
Which got me thinking: What about a Vegan Connecticut Restaurant Week? Not just exclusively for veg restaurants, but an opportunity for ALL restaurants to try out offering a vegan prix-fixe menu. This could challenge restaurateurs to think outside the (meat- and dairy-laden) box and create something new and delicious, while also attracting a larger (compassionate and/or health-conscious) customer base. BUT, in order to convince any restaurants to participate, we’d have to prove that CT vegans would come out in DROVES.
What do you guys think? If there was a Vegan Connecticut Restaurant Week, would you go out and support?!
